Replica of Formula E Car Exhibited at Bundaran HI

A replica of the Gen 2 Formula E electric race car is displayed in Bundaran HI area, Central Jakarta from March 26 to April 14, 2023. It is carried out to welcome and promote the Jakarta E-Prix 2023 event which will take place from June 3 to 4 2023.

Jakarta E-Prix 2023 Executive Committee Chair, Ananda Mikola said the replica of the Gen 2 electric racing car displayed in Bundaran HI area is capable of attracting the attention of many residents who were exercising during Car Free Day (CFD) some time ago.

"Residents are enthusiastic about taking selfies with the Gen 2 electric racing car replica and sharing photos on social media accounts," he expressed, Thursday (4/6).

His party would also exhibit a Gen 3 race car at Bundaran HI on April 15 until Jakarta EPrix 2023 event took place. The committee has also opened registration for media accreditation starting today until May 6.

"Mass media editorial offices wishing to send personnel to attend and cover live events are required to register via the website https://fe.ams.fia.com," he stated.

The FIA media center committee would then verify the data. If it passes, the committee will send an e-mail to collect press ID a week before the E-Prix is held.

"The FIA media center committee doesn't accept registrations outside the specified registration period," he added.

According to him, Jakpro and the committee are still finalizing preparations ahead of the D-day of this international event being held.

"Preparation for the E-Prix has so far touched 50 percent and continues to make improvements based on input from last year," he explained.

He added the event will use a Gen 3-type electric racing car that has a faster speed, capable of producing 350 kW of power. One of the advantages of Gen 3 cars is being able to minimize accident rates, even though they have quite a lot of power compared to the previous generation of electric racing cars.

"Gen 3's safety features are also much better, especially the grip of the tires when the car is driven with maximum force," he stated.
